Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment Hire

Terms & Conditions

Hiring or ordering services from Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment is subject to agreement of the Terms and Conditions as laid out below:

Agreement
The client, you, (as detailed in the booking form and all communications) agrees acceptance of the Terms and Conditions when hiring from Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment.

Booking
A written quotation, by way of a WhatsApp or an E mail will be supplied, at the point of booking,  detailing all information regarding the event and the requirements. It is the client’s (the person booking the hire or service) responsibility to ensure that these are correct. Unless otherwise advised, 50% of the payment is due on booking as well as a signed Terms and Conditions document to secure Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment for your chosen date.

The remaining 50% is due 30 days before the actual event date.  Unfortunately, we are unable to change these terms to suit yours being a small independent and your quality balloons will need ordering and paid for from our supplier well in advance of your event to ensure an efficient service is provided.  

Late Booking Fee 10%  I will always endeavour to provide you with your requirements but if you book within 7 days, there will be an increased 10% fee on the cost of your order.

Early set up fee: £25:  My working hours are 7 days a week, 0900-2000hrs but if you need something set up extra early, there will be an early set up fee of £25 added to your order.

Cancellation
If you cancel your event, for whatever reason, and subject to the full amount having been paid, the following will apply:

  • If  you cancel your event 30 days or more of your event: 50% of the deposit will be refunded to you.

  • If you cancel your event 30 days or less of your event: no refund will be payable.


Whilst this is unlikely, should we have to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. Covid lockdown, extreme weather etc) any deposit and monies paid will be refunded in full. We will attempt to provide a substitute for the event, but cannot guarantee this and will not be held liable in such an occurrence. However, we retain the right to refuse to hire and give no refund should we discover the venue is unsuitable or that access is not allowed or dangerous in any way.

If the event is to be held in a marquee and it is discovered that the marquee is leaking in any way we wholly reserve the right to cease setup and leave due to the nature of health and safety where electrical equipment is being hired (items with lights).

Payment
Payable by BACS unless otherwise agreed but we do not accept cheques.

Payment details to be provided on receipt of booking form, signed and e mailed to cherrylaneevents@virginmedia.com.

Set Up
Sufficient time must be allowed for us to setup equipment which will vary depending on the service/items being hired.
If the function area is not located on the ground floor or is a substantial distance from the unloading area then please advise us in advance.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the item(s) booked are suitable for the venue and for your event. No refunds, part or full, will be given for non-use of items/equipment that cannot be used due to any restrictions.
Any damage caused to our equipment by an inadequate power supply or power interruption will be invoiced to you.

Delivery/collection  - drop off return, pick up/return (cost provided on application)

Balloon clear up/disposal fee is an extra £15 if you would like me to remove or dispose of balloons.

Damage waiver: If any equipment such as the Artists easel, Display disk, flowers removed/taken or arch structure damaged, you will be invoiced separately, following the event, with damages due within 7 days of event date.  Any non payment will result in legal action being taken.

 

Third party damage & safety
Under no circumstances may you or your guests tamper, move, interfere or touch any equipment owned by us. Any damage caused by a third party will be invoiced directly to you.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your guests conduct themselves in a proper manner at all times. Furthermore, you are responsible for all guests and their actions.  Any damage caused by unruly or alcohol related person or persons to be invoiced to yourself.
We will not be held responsible for you or your guests being hurt or damage to clothes when near or touching any part of our equipment. We cannot be responsible for guests suffering from any illness or allergy.
